Thanks for the advice-I'll definitely keep this in mind. ![]() At one point when I didn't have a joystick for my PC, I used the keymapper to get ICR1 to run with my keyboard. I'm hoping Pavel can help me out with a controls.cfg, but I will take a look at the keymapper as well. I will make controls.cfg with such settings and will sent it to you. If so tell me what control settings you use. My controls settings will not work for you, but you can try to change it. So I always have backup controls.cfg with right settings. If you can make a controls.cfg for that, you'd be my hero. Reverse: Joy 1 Axis Y (down arrow-pull back on the joystick towards you) You're right, your controls didn't work for me, but I was able to successfully import them into my game folder. Keep in mind that I'm not a computer expert by any stretch of the imagination (I went to school for music) but I can learn with good instructions, so go easy on me! I'd probably just stick with ICR1, but I wouldn't be able to take advantage of everything I've found on this website!Īny help would be appreciated-I've searched the forum but didn't find a solution present. Plus, Indycar Racing 1 works with no problems on my Windows 7 machine (just ran 100 laps at Indy today). Here's the kicker-I've had the same problem trying to use ICR2 through Windows XP on another machine and on my current Windows 7 machine. I have tried autolock=true and false, and sensitivity=0 & 100 in various combinations but nothing has worked. I have tried locking the mouse (CTL+F10) to no avail and have also tried changing the config file mouse settings below: As soon as hit enter on a setting to change it, the game immediately thinks that I've moved the mouse and want to use that as a control device. I can calibrate the joystick in the game, so ICR2 recognizes it, but for some reason it does not recognize the joystick when trying to set the controls options. This occurs when I have my joystick attached and when I do not have it attached. This occurs for all control options (steering, acceleration, braking, etc). I'm using carats as directional arrows there. However, when I try to set my controls, the game will not recognize anything but Mouse (or Mouse <). I am launching the DOS version from DosBox. Here's my basic problem-I copied the files from my CD onto my harddrive, and can load the game through DosBox. ![]() I have DosBox 0.74 installed, and am not using any front-end software for it, just using DosBox, nor do I have any sound software installed (I'll work on that problem later). I am using a Dell laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1. I played the game way back when it was new, but just rediscovered I have an original disc and am trying to get it up and running on my PC. Hi folks, I'm new here-very happy to have found a forum still dedicated to ICR2. ![]()
